MIDLAND COMBINATION PREMIER DIVISION
COLESHILL TOWN 0 v 3 COVENTRY SPHINX
Coleshill again struggled to field a team due to injuries and work commitments but this time they produced a lack lustre performance with few players coming out with much credit. Coleshill had the better of the opening exchanges but when Sphinx scored with an uncontested header the writing was on the wall. The visitors were a shadow of the side who finished runners up last year but Coleshill made them look like world beaters as they failed to meet the challenge. Sphinx were two up by half time and that became three before the hour mark. Coleshill had a couple of half chances as Sphinx eased off with the points in the bag.
Team;- Greg Allen, Richard Gathercole, Lee McCarthy (Steve Grady), Lee O’Brien, Simon Bradbury, Matty Devine, Stuart Howard, Glen Simms, Duwayan Mardenborough, Dave Wilson (Nicky Fell), Christian Crisp. Sub not used Mitchell Thompson.
