Massey Ferguson 0 v 2 Coleshill Town

Postby Alan Beckett » Thu Sep 09, 2004 11:57 am

MIDLAND COMBINATION PREMIER DIVISION
TUESDAY 7TH SEPTEMBER
MASSEY FERGUSON 0 V 2 COLESHILL TOWN
Scorers: Danny Carter 2.

Coleshill thought they would struggle without leading goalscorer Craig Davies who had to work and then Pete Hall went off injured after only twenty minutes, but Lee Dempster and Danny Carter did a stirling job, the later scoring both goals. This was a solid performance and a welcome clean sheet. Coleshill were raely in trouble and made the most of the few chances that came their way. Whereas on Saturday Town had chance after chance and failed to take any of them, in this game they converted two of possibly only four openings all evening. Carter scored his first with a shot from the edge of the box some nine minutes into first half stoppage time and doubled the score only four minutes into the restart when he finished off a passing move out of defence. The whole back four had an outstanding game and Josh McPherson was influentual in midfield, unfortunatley Josh will be missing for a few games with a hip injury.

Team;- Craig Jones, Matt Ward, Des Wilkes, Karl Jones, Steve Lees, Josh McPhearson (Dean Farrington), Stuart Howard, Carl Smith, Danny Carter, Pete Hall (Lee Dempster), Kevin Wagstaff. Sub not used Chris Gee.
