Stourbridge 4 v 1 Coleshill Town
Scorer: Josh McPherson.

Coleshill travelled to Alliance free scoring Stourbridge in a hopeful mood following a run of useful scores. Stourbridge had warmed up with a 7-1 thrashing of newly promoted Romulus and a 6-3 away win at Studley. A crowd of 130 witnessed a first half in which Stourbridge dominated play without breaking down a resolute Coleshill team. A half time deficit of 0-1 just about reflected the first half.

An early goal in the second half followed by a penalty kick left Coleshill a mountain to climb with just over an hour played. It was no time to sit back and the Greens threw caution to the wind in an attempt to salvage something from the game. A fourth goal was conceded before Josh McPherson snatched a consolation goal five minutes from the end.

Although disappointed with the result, the lads did not disgrace themselves and a good message was sent out, if we want to compete in the Alliance, that is the standard that we must aim for in the near future.
