MATCH REPORT
Coleshill had a good opportunity to bounce back from the defeat at Stourbridge with a Walsall Senior Cup tie against struggling Bolehall Swifts. It was not to be a good day at the office however as Bolehall belied their lowly position with a well deserved victory over a team lacking in self confidence. Goals were conceded at regular intervals and with an away trip to Bilston to savour in the next round there was only one team apparently up for it. Two defeats in four days are the basic facts and early exits from two cup competitions.

Report Taken From Bolehall Programme
A trip to 4th placed Coleshill looked tricky considering Bolehall's current league position, but Swifts tore up the form book in spectacular fashion at Pack Meadow to show that Saturday's win at Pershore was no fluke and to send their hosts crashing out of the Walsall Senior Cup. It was a game Swifts were in control of from the kick off, having all the early pressure and desperate for the chances to be converted into goals and seize the initiative over the home side. This was duly done on 26 minutes, when a cross from the left by Paul Hathaway was met first time by Captain Marvel, Simon Meads leaving Jones in the Coleshill goal with no chance. Swifts did not rest on this lead but continued to attack, with John Rhodes having more than one opportunity to increase the lead. The lead was indeed increased on 42 minutes. Hathaway, from the edge of the box, sent an audacious lob over a helpless Jones to ensure that Swifts went into the half time interval with a comfortable two goal lead.
If there was any worry that Coleshill would emerge a different side in the second half, those thoughts were dispelled within two minutes of the re-start when Simon Russell rose to head Swifts into a seemingly unassailable 3-0 lead. The win was cemented seven minutes later when Hathaway's cross was met by the head of Rhodes whose well directed header flew past Jones. There was no way back now for Coleshill, who had rarely threatened Swifts in any case, and when they did create a rare chance they found Paul Barnes, in between the posts for Bolehall, alert and determined to keep a clean sheet. In fact he was caught out just once, on 72 minutes, but Russel was on hand to clear off the line. The only thing under genuine threat from the home side was Andy Whetton's legs, and Coleshill right back Ward was a very lucky boy to remain on the pitch when he dived in high and late while Whetton was away down the left wing. The ball wasn't only some distance away from the tackle, it was in a different post code, but the referee must not have had a clear view of the incident and produced a yellow. Despite a couple of chances late on, Rhodes could not add to his goal tally on the night, but will be pleased with his record of scoring in each of the last three games despite starting only one. The Swifts management team will be delighted with such a comprehensive victory, the reward for which is a trip to Bilston Town in Round Two.
