Birmingham Midweek Floodlit Cup Quarter Final
Played at Gornal Athletic
Dudley Sports 4 v 1 Coleshill Town
Scorer: Kevin Wagstaff.

Coleshill exited their second cup competition in three days after a 4-1 defeat to Dudley. In heavy, boggy conditions, Coleshill were second best in the first half and trailed 3-0 at the interval. They pulled one back through a Kevin Wagstaff free kick and then had a great chance to set up a tense finale when they were awarded a penalty with ten minutes to go. However, Steve Lees missed the spot kick and Dudley wrapped up the win with a late goal that gave the scoreline a flattering look for the home team but again Coleshill didn't do enough to progress. "I am absolutely gutted we are out because we had high hopes of doing well in the cups," said manager Mick Beadle. "We really thought we could do well but just didn't perform like we know we can. It is my job to lift them now before Saturday's game against Bloxwich."

Team:- Craig Jones, Steve Lees, Chris Davies, Josh McPherson, Des Wilkes, Kevin Wagstaff (Frank Woodburn), Matt Ward (Danny Carter), Carl Smith, Craig Davies, Mitchell Thompson, James Lloyd. Sub not used Chris Gee.
