Saturday 2nd April 2005
Midland Combination Premier Division
Coleshill Town 3 v 0 Massey Ferguson
Scorers: Craig Davies, Danny Carter, Mitchell Thompson.

Coleshill eased to an impressive win over lowly Massey but had to wait until the final eight minutes before making their superiority count.
Manager Mick Beadle had to make one change from last week's defeat at Dudley with Des Wilkes being unavailable. Tim Lane dropped into a five man midfield and Danny Carter joined Craig Davies in the front line.

Coleshill took the game to the visitors from the start but were thwarted by a spirited defence and a goal keeper in fine form. Mitchell Thompson's shot was the only thing seperating the teams at half time, and even that took a deflection before finding the back of the net.
The second half belonged almost entirely to the home team but again the keeper put in an inspired performance and three times he was assisted by the woodwork to deny Town. Just when the crowd were beginning to think it would be one of those days, Kevin Wagstaff slung in a cross from the left and Danny Carter hit the ball on the volley from 15 yards out, hitting the back of the net with the keeper rooted to the spot. On 87 minutes Coleshill's leading scorer Craig Davies finally got in on the act as his low strike from the edge of the box beat the diving keeper to nestle into the net. 3-0 the final score but it could have been more and with the season coming nearer to a close Coleshill are clinging onto seventh place in the league. After being fourth for so long Mick Beadle will be dissappointed if they slip down much lower.

Team:- Miles Millington-Day, Alan Wright (Chris Gee), Matt Ward, Frank Woodburn, Mitchell Thompson, Carl Smith (Lee Dempster), Liam Daly, Tim Lane, Craig Davies, Danny Carter, Kevin Wagstaff. Sub not used Stuart Howard.
