MATCH REPORT

The Coleman made the trip to Chasetown in the hope of another 3 points and continuing their winning run!

With the recent run of results against Chasetown it was more hope than optimism from the travelling fans!

A cagey first half saw both teams with chances but with no end product and the keepers not required.

The 2nd half Coleshill came out and stuck to their game plan. Amavir Sandu had the left wing to himself and continued to push Coleshill up the pitch.

Kai Tongue on the right, the Catalyst throughout the game, travelled past 2 Chasetown players for George Washbourne to finish off the bar at the back post after an initial defensive block!

10 minutes later, the Coleshill 2nd had the same outcome! Kai’s cross was met by Washbourne and a calm finish into the bottom left corner!

The knee slide and the celebrations in front of the handful of Coleshill fans was reminiscent of a side who knew the points were on their way back to Pack Meadow.

Despite the late defensive slips in previous games Coleshill showed no signs of history repeating itself. Josh Willis, solid in the centre and Niall Rowe with his head on everything meant Paul Hathaway had a relative quiet afternoon between the sticks.

A calm and solid display with great hold up play saw Coleshill to another 3 points on the road!

This weekend sees Daventry travel to Pack Meadow (3pm kick off)

WASHBOURNE DOUBLE SINKS SCHOLARS

Two second half goals condemned Chasetown to a home defeat.
Chasetown 0 Coleshill Town 2

Chasetown started on the front foot and after two minutes struck the post with a Mitch Clarke header following a cross from the right.

Coleshill gradually came into the game and dominated possession without really threatening the home goal.

Joey Butlin almost connected with an Oli Hayward through ball but keeper Paul Hathaway and a defender averted the danger.

Coleshill started the second half on the front foot and took the lead after 53 minutes when former Scholar George Washbourne netted the rebound after Curtis Pond had saved from Liam Molesworth.

Washbourne deservedly added a second ten minutes later getting on the end of a cross from Kai Tonge after he raced down the right wing.

A flat second half saw Chasetown fail to trouble the visiting keeper.
