REPORT FROM THE VISITORS
Coleshill Town 1-6 Sky Blues U21s
Will Bapaga fired home a hat-trick after Marco Rus started City's fightback in the Birmingham Senior Cup...

Will Bapaga fired home a second-half hat-trick as the young Sky Blues his non-league side Coleshill Town for six to book their place in the fourth round of the Birmingham Senior Cup.

After falling behind in the first half, City ran rampant in the second, finding the back of the net six times

Midfielder Marco Rus drew John Dempster’s side level before forward Bapaga stepped up with a triple.

Justin Obiwku put the icing on the cake late on before Ricardo Dinanga added the cherry with a sixth from the spot in stoppage time.

After an opening ten minutes during which both sides took time to find their feet, it was the young Sky Blues who had the first chance of the game. Dermi Lusala found Bradley Stretton with a throw-in, deep inside the Coleshill half, and he turned his man wonderfully before forcing the goalkeeper into a fine stop from a tight angle.

However, it would be the hosts who would take the lead moments later with a goal that came from a ball into the box, which broke for Kyle Jardine who, on the half-volley, fired the ball past Cian Tyler.

Jardine then had the game's next chance, firing an effort at goal from the edge of the area, but Tyler got a strong hand onto it to deny the striker.

City thought they had their equaliser shortly before the break but were once again denied by a wonderful save, as George Burroughs’ fantastic ball over the top for Dinanga saw the winger's shot saved from close range.

HALF-TIME: Coleshill Town 1-0 Sky Blues

After the restart, it took just three minutes for City to find a leveller. The goal came from the Captain for the evening, Marco Rus, as he calmly slotted the ball into the bottom corner from inside the area.

Two minutes later, the Sky Blues took the lead for the first time in the game and it was Will Bapaga who raced through on goal, rounded the goalkeeper, and found the back of the net.

City were running rampant in the second half and they doubled their lead just three minutes later, as Bapaga was brought down in the box and he stepped up to fire the penalty past the goalkeeper to make it 3-1.

The Sky Blues put the game beyond Coleshill when Bapaga completed his hat-trick in style, beating three players before leaving the goalkeeper with no chance as he dispatched an excellent finish inside the area.

Justin Obikwu made it five late on before Ricardo Dinanga scored the game's sixth from the penalty spot.

FULL-TIME: Coleshill Town 1-6 Sky Blues
