NON LEAGUE PAPER WROTE
Coleshill moved up to 6th place in the table with this fine win over 4th placed Sporting Khalsa. An otherwise even game was settled with a fine goal on 58 minutes. Coleshill were awarded a free kick wide right and with everyone expecting a cross Alex Tomkinson took it short to the running Liam Molesworth who got to the bye line and crossed to the diving Kai Tonge who headed home. Sporting had the best chances in an even first half. Miracle Okafor rounded keeper Paul Hathaway but his shot was cleared off the line by Amarvir Sandhu. Then Okafor had an even better chance shooting from inside the box but Hathaway got the finest touch to send the effort just passed the far post, and then Okafor latched on to a Sandhu backpass but sent his shot wide. Coleshill were the better team in the second half, George Washbourne had a shot saved by keeper Sam Arnold and Kai Tonge sent an effort just wide of the post, but the one goal was enough to secure victory as Coleshill dealt comfortably with Sporting’s attacking play.
Star Man: Liam Molesworth.
