MATCH REPORT
A very entertaining game ended goalless with goalkeepers coming out on top and a missed sitter.
Corby flew out of the blocks in the early stages and had several chances to take the lead but Coleshill legend keeper Paul Hathaway stood in the way time and time again. Coleshill’s first chance should have ended in a goal as Kai Tonge got clear of the defence and shot for goal, but keeper Bukowski dove full length to his left to fingertip the ball away for a corner.

The game continued at a frantic pace in the second half. A cross from Collins found Furey unmarked in the six yard area but he fluffed his chance and shot wide. Bukowski saved from Tonge, George Washbourne shot wide for Coleshill then Darlington shot wide for Corby but the best chance of the game fell to Ewan Williams when a Kai Tonge cross found the youngster all alone in the six yard box and just needed to tap home but somehow his effort went over the bar. There was just enough time for Bukowski to deny Taylor Byrne the winner as he headed a Chris Lait cross goalward. Both sides played well, both had numerous chances but a draw was probably the correct result.
