MATCH REPORT
With just two games to go the Champions of the Northern Premier League Midland Division is sorted, and two teams have secured their place in the four Play Off placers but SIX teams are still battling it out for those last two slots that could lead to promotion.
Coleshill and Boldmere lie in 6th and 5th place before kick off with just ONE point separating them, and with a 2-2 draw in the first encounter back in November, this is a massive game which is difficult to call.
A very even first half with the visitors having more possession but chances were at a premium. Kai Tonge made a great run down the left and into the box but his shot hit the side netting. The Mikes two forwards Andre Brown and Curvin Sanderson Ellis were a handful but Coleshill’s defence were magnificent throughout.

It was Boldmere who had the first sight of goal in the second half as Brown set up Oliver West who’s shot looked to be going in but Paul Hathaway made a great save to push the ball onto the bar and out for a corner. However the Colemen appeared to want it more and were rewarded with a cracking goal on the hour mark. A long throw by Taylor Byrne was half cleared but recycled by George Washbourne, who chipped it into the box, Josh Willis cleverly set up Fraser Doyle who hit an absolute beauty on the volley and in off the post from 20 yards out. On 75 minutes the Colemen broke away from a Mikes sustained attack. Ewan Williams was fouled but with Kai Tonge on a run the referee said play on. Kai got to the bye line and pulled it back for Amarvir Sandhu to slot home.
