MATCH REPORT
When it's not your day, it's just not your day but you will, hopefully, have better days.
It wasn't the best game of football, both sides struggling to find any rythym, and a boring 0-0 draw looked the most likely outcome! But in the final five minutes of the first half, Harry Craven went off injured, Alex McSkeane scored, a looping shot that avoided the home keepers outstretched left hand, and Tyreace Brown was sent off for allegidly stamping on a Boldmere player. Wow!
Obviously the plan for Coleshill was to defend in numbers to try and maintain the lead, that lasted three minutes when ex-Coleshill player Freddie Cockerill burst into the box and fell over, penalty said the referee. Cockerill converted the spot kick himself. Harry Sweeney then went off injured, leaving Coleshill with very little defensive cover and poor Daniel Gyasi was tasked with trying to keep Boldmere's rapid left winger quiet! No luck there, Cunningham skipped past the emergency defender and set up Cockerill for his second goal on 72minutes, and then did the same and scored himself on 82 minutes. To say Coleshill were pleased to hear the final whistle is an under statement. Hopefully the have a better day in the F.A.Cup next Saturday.
