Charlie Manners bagged a double as gritty Walsall Wood pounced to force Coleshill into errors. It might have been different had Chris Cowley been awarded a penalty following a tangle with Wood keeper Dale Eve within the opening 30 seconds, but Manners struck in the 15th minute, lobbing stopper Joel Chadwick while three white shirts failed to attack a punt forward. Wood's Ross Evans skimmed the top of the bar in first half stoppage time, but the second arrived in the 57th minute, Manners bundling in Josh Mansell's low centre at the near post. Coleshill's Michael McGrath saw Red a minute from time, picking up a second booking for re-entering the pitch without the referee's permission (He left the field of play to use his inhaler), and sub Sam Unitt rounded Chadwick to score in added time.
