MATCH REPORT
A game that had everything. Six goals, three penalties, a Red card, 2-0 down 3-2 up, level at the death and action all the way through.
Both sides had early chances, Samples firing not too far over the bar and Theo Rowe shooting just past the far post. But it was the visitors who took the lead on 34 minutes. Webb got into the box and had his ankles clipped by Gio Dainty, Webb scoring from the resulting penalty. Just five minutes later it was 2-0 as Wilson got to the bye line and pulled the ball back to Noble on the penalty spot who swept the ball into the net. On the stroke of half time Coleshill reduced the arrears. Taylor Byrne headed home an Alex Tomkinson corner although Quorn had a good shout for a foul on the keeper. How vital was that goal going into the second half.

Coleshill started the second half much brighter and deservedly equalised on 55 minutes. A long clearance by Paul Hathaway was headed up in the air by a defender, Liam Molesworth casually controlled and passed the ball to the onrushing Robbie Bunn who stroked the ball home from the just inside the box. Just passed the hour the most controversial episode of the game resulted in a penalty and a Red card. Coleshill’s two youngsters Theoe Rowe and Oscar Tonge combined down the left, Tonge’s cross was blocked but came to Robbie Bunn who had the goal at his mercy but his effort was blocked and the officials decided that it was hand ball by Gough who was sent off. Theo Rowe held his nerve and scored from the spot to give Coleshill the lead. A great show of character to come from 2-0 down to now be 3-2 up but even with a man down the visitors showed the same character and really made a game of it. Fyfe got into box and was fouled by Tonge although it did look a harsh decision. Wilson took the spot kick but Paul Hathaway saved the effort as he has done on many occasions during his Coleshill career. Grantham’s header was easily saved by Hathaway but with just three minutes of normal play remaining a long ball from keeper Woods was contested between Grantham and Gio Dainty, Hathaway came off his line to clear but it was Grantham that got there first and his header bobbled into the empty net.
What a game and overall a draw was probably the fitting result but being a goal ahead against 10 men with just a few minutes to go is disappointing for Coleshill to gain just the one point.

A breather now with no game next week and a chance to get some of the injured players back.
