MATCH REPORT

PHEW!!! What a relief! Six defeats in a row, no win in 9 games, and the gap to the bottom two slowly closing in.

The win gives Coleshill breathing space but two very important games still to come, Rushden & Diamonds next followed by Gresley.

The new manager continues to bring in new players, another three making their debuts, but wasn't it strange to see Paul Hathaway on the oppositions team sheet.

A very tense, even game came to life in the second half as goals from George Washbourne and Jonathan Letford secured the points but it was the clean sheet that was the most impressive with a solid performance from the new look defence and a good start for new keeper Joseph Bevan.

On 56 minutes Alex Tomkinson and George Washbourne combined in an impressive one-two move that left Washbourne unmarked inside the 18 yard box and he casually curled the ball round the keeper, Paul Hathaway and into the far corner of the net.

Coleshill were managing the game well but with just the one goal lead the result was in the balance until the second goal came with just three minutes on the clock. A ball down the left from Alex Tomkinson sent Chris Cowley on a run into the box, he slipped the ball to Jonathan Letford who took a touch before shooting hard and low under the diving Hathaway into the far corner of the net!

Relief! Three points in the bag!
