MATCH REPORT
All was going well at Coleshill, a 4-0 win over title chasers Corby, a 2-1 win over neighbours Boldmere St Michaels, and then a dip in form with defeats at Home to Hinckley, Away to Hednesford (B.S.C.) and Loughborough Students. Manager Grant Joshua needed a lift and who was up next at Pack Meadow, Lye Town, Joshua's old team with Elliot Ball, Ewan Edwards, Joe Palmer and even Matt Gardner all ex Coleshill players, plus CTFC ex manager Craig Nichols. But it was ex Lye player Sam Tye that took the plaudits with FOUR goals, just being in the right place at the right time.
Harry Craven started the rout in the 4th minute but Sam Tye had his hat-trick before half time and all three goals were tap ins from less than a yard out. Things quietened down a bit in the second half, Alex McSkeane got his name on the scoresheet on 49 minutes but the game belonged to Tye and he completed the scoring with his fourth goal in the 92nd minute.
