Coleshill Disappoint

This was a disappointing result for Coleshill, who although having the advantage of a strong wind in the first half, failed to create scoring chances. While Coleshill gained plenty of possession in midfield the Police defence was as sound as a rock and there was little for Home supporters to cheer. In the second half Police showed more flair in going forward and Coleshill were pinned in their own half. Police took the lead in the 65th minute and not until Coleshill introduced substitute Snowy Upton, in place of the injured Andrew Canning did they look like getting on terms. With McGreevy pushed up front and Coleshill reverting to a 4-3-3 formation, pressure at long last was put on the Police rearguard. McGreevy went close to scoring with one powerful shot and Paul Montague headed inches wide, the best efforts of a poor Coleshill performance. Manager David Kite is hoping that skipper and midfield player Tom Hardie will be fit to play against Cradley this Saturday. Tom has been out of action for most of the season, but has now recovered from a cartilage operation.
