Monday 2nd January 2006
Midland Combination Premier Division
Pershore Town 3 v 0 Coleshill Town

Coleshill Town boss Mick Beadle was left stunned as his side missed a hatful of chances at Pershore. "You wouldn't beleive me unless you were at the game but we battered them!" said Beadle. "We missed about 11 clear cut chances, we were like Keystone Cops in attack- players getting in each others way. It was unbelievable. James Dance also missed a penalty-it was just one of those days. If Roy Dunkley had been playing for us he would have scored about ten."

Coleshill's season is slowly falling apart and they are in danger of being dragged into a relegation battle which makes the game against Dudley Sports on Saturday a six pointer. Sports would go above Coleshill with a win, dropping Town down to 17th in the table, only five points above the drop zone. The good news is that in the next few weeks we will be playing teams around us and a couple of wins would quickly shoot us up the table. We also have a very important cup game coming up next mid week, a quarter final in the Birmingham Floodlit Cup against Coventry Copsewood, a game we are more than capable of winning but it all depends on which Coleshill team turns up on the night!

Team: Miles Millington-Day, Sean Burrell, Ryan Gardiner (Simon Bradbury), Shaun Kidson, Des Wilkes, Kevin Wagstaff, Dan Greaves (Lee Dempster), Carl Smith, Myrone Levy, David Brush, James Dance.
