Midland Combination Premier Division
Dudley Sports 0 v 2 Coleshill Town
Scorers: Kevin Wagstaff, Danny Carter.

Coleshill ground out a result at Dudley on a cold windy afternoon on a hard bumpy pitch. Manager Mick Beadle described the match as "ugly", but added, "Last year we would have lost this game but we now have some players who will dig deep and grind out a result even when the football is in short supply. You have to work hard to get anything from Dudley as they battle, get the ball forward quickly and are in your faces. We deserved the win but can play better. We have a good run in with only Shifnal from the top seven to play and I would expect us to finish well inside the top half of the league".

Coleshill took the lead on twenty minutes when Dan Greaves and Kevin Wagstaff combined to take a short corner. Wagstaff took advantage of the better angle to flight a cross over the keeper and into the far corner of the net. Coleshill defended well and looked dangerous on the break and finally secured the points in the second half when Dan Greaves was upended in the box, Danny Carter stepped up to convert the spot kick for his fifth goal in four games.
