Well done to Coleshill Town Football Youth Team for winning the well fought cup game on a cold Wednesday evening. A typical cup match with bookings and a sending off (Oh no Aka not more money to pay out!!!) but we came away with the right result - a win - 2-1. Well done to all the team. All the lads battled well and obtained the desired result. :D

Youth's Through To Semi Final

Wednesday 25th January
Coleshill Town 2 v 1 Moor Green

Coleshill Town Youth team reached the Semi Final of the Birmingham County Cup in a thrilling game against Moor Green. In a very close game the result was in doubt to the last minute. Chances were at a premium and both goal keepers came up with terrific saves at vital moments. Coleshill edged in front on 65 minutes when a cross from Stuart Lee was forced home at the far post by TJ Holder. Moor Green never gave up and their cause was helped when Tom Atkins was sent off for the home team following his second bookable offence. Green took advantage of the extra man and equalised on 75 minutes. The game had to be finished on the night and extra time and penalties were looming but with only five minutes remaining Mathius Blake played an inch perfect pass into the path of TJ Holder who rounded the keeper and slotted into an empty net for the winner. The Semi Final will be played in February with the Final held at Birmingham FA headquarters in Ray Hall Lane. Coleshill now eagerly await the draw to see who stands in their way of a first final in 10 years.
