Scorer: Kevin Wagstaff.

Boss Beadle Calls For A Cutting Edge
Coleshill boss Mick Beadle was pleased with this victory over Heath Hayes but felt it should have been much more comprehensive. Kevin Wagstaff's 75th minutes goal settled this cup tie but Coleshill were nearly made to pay for their wastefulness in front of goal when the visitors hit the woodwork in the last minute. Beadle said "It was a bit of a scrappy game to be honest but we should have had it wrapped up in the first 20 minutes. I don't think Heath Hayes had an effort on goal in the game apart from the header that hit the bar late on. We are playing to 60 or 70 per cent of our potential and we are still grinding out results but we know there is a lot more to come from the players." Carlos McIntosh wasted three chances early on for Coleshill but they always seemed to be in charge. Wagstaff made the home side's superiority count midway through the second half when he closed down the keeper, robbed him of the ball and scored from an acute angle. However, they were lucky not to concede an equaliser in stoppage time when Heath Hayes struck the bar after some sloppy defending.
