SUNDAY MERCURY WROTE
Pershore Town's mini revival continued with a 2-1 win over former leaders Coleshill Town. Coleshill led from a Josh McPherson strike but Dave Cannon put Pershore back on terms before Des Cox put the points Pershore's way on 80 minutes. Coleshill's Dominic Reece also missed a penalty on his debut for the visitors.

Former league leaders Coleshill slumped to defeat against a resurgent Pershore side. Coleshill started well, taking the lead through a Josh McPherson strike. However, Dave Cannon put Pershore back on level terms before Des Cox completed the comeback securing the points after 80 minutes. Coleshill wasted many chances throughout the game with new signing Dominic Reece guilty of missing a penalty on his debut. Boss Mick Beadle was disappointed with the amount of chances missed and blamed the team's lack of games for the defeat. "We had lots of opportunities spread around the team," he said. "We should have won the game but we missed five or six gilt-edged chances. We were a little rusty because we have not played for four weeks." Beadle wasn't surprised by the improving Pershore side adding: "We've got to be positive - they were a good team with a lot of new players and I'll be surprised if they lose many more this season."
