Carlton Town 2 v 3 Coleshill Town A.E.T.
Coleshill Town Youth team are on the cup trail once again when they recorded an excellent win over a very impressive Carlton Town. Neither team deserved to lose this game but someone had to go through and it was Coleshill who had that extra bit of luck on the night. Carlton scored on 12mins after an even and aggressive opening by both teams. Coleshill had several chances to equalize or even take the lead but the home keeper was in fine form. Town nearly had a mountain to climb as Carlton hit the bar with a fine effort but the visitors held their nerve. Within a minute of the restart TJ Holder leveled the scores with a rasping shot. On 77 mins the otherwise faultless home keeper dropped the ball at TJ Holder?s feet for a tap in and the lead. Carlton hit back within a minute to send the tie into extra time. David Nash was lucky not to give away a penalty and then the moment that turned the game came when the Assistant Referee signaled for a penalty for a pull on Daniel Tymon. TJ stepped up to score and complete his hat trick. Carlton piled on the pressure in search of the equalizer but Coleshill held on for a fabulous win and a trip to Redditch in the next round.
Team;- Ryan Byfield (Capt), David Nash, Lee Nash, Robert Evans, Chris Green, Reiss Byfield, Justin Grandison, Isaac Robinson, TJ Holder, Danny Tymon, Richard Price.
