Midland Combination Premeir Division
Coleshill Town 0 v 1 Loughborough University

Coleshill were lucky to come away from Loughborough with a win in the first meeting of the season. It was the first game in charge for Neil Kitching and Colin Strong following the departure of Mick Beadle and on the hottest day of the year the Uni boys pushed Town all the way. A young, fit and very talented side, who are on a good run at the moment, Coleshill would have to be at their best to record a win. As it turned out, Coleshill weren't at their best and wouldn't have scored if they'd played all night. The first half was even with both sides having only a couple of half chances each but the second was a story of Coleshill constantly going forward and Loughborough defending with organisation and determination. The winning goal was better than a dull game deserved as Miller skipped passed two defenders and rocketed a shot past Craig Johnson in the Town goal.

A slip up that Town can ill afford at this crucial stage of the season but they need to pick themselves up quickly as leaders Highgate come to Town next.

Team:- Carig Johnson, Andy Sutherland, Lee Millard, Neil Kitching, Lee Hunt, James Dance, Steve Smith (Ryan Scott), Simon Volante, Ashley Robinson (Michael Campbell), Matty Robinson, Loz Shannon (Danny Carter). Sub not used Stuart Adamson.
