Adams is delighted by display if not by the results

COLESHILL Town boss Carl Adams admitted he must sound 'like a stuck record' after watching his team miss out on three points at Causeway United on Tuesday night.

The Colemen dominated their midweek clash throughout but had to settle for a share of the spoils thanks to Chris Laite's 80th-minute leveller.

Adams said: "I could just record my thoughts and play them back week in, week out.

"It was another example of us playing well but not getting what we deserved.

"We are 14th in the table and controlled a game against the side lying fifth but we didn't get what we deserved.

"We were undone by a poor decision in the first half.

"We won a throw-in but the referee awarded it to Causeway. They take it quickly into the box and win a penalty which they scored.

"We pressed after the break and fortunately got the late equaliser which was the least we deserved. It was a very good performance again but we just didn't get the points we deserved.

"The lads deserve credit, though, because even when the decision for the goal went against us, they plugged away and got something."

Coleshill are without a fixture this weekend but return to action with a tricky trip to Rocester on Tuesday night.

Adams added: "It's another testing away game for us and hopefully we can come away with something.

"The way that we are viewing things between now and the end of the season is that there will be some highs and lows.

"We have a young side here and they're learning all the time.

!I believe if we can keep them together at the end of the campaign we can enjoy a fruitful year next season.

"We're still determined to finish as high as we can this year but we do have one eye on next season as well."

Adams, meanwhile, has expressed an interest in Coventry Copsewood's left midfielder Stuart Adamson but is unlikely to make a move until the end of the season.

The Coleshill boss is also continuing to monitor former Walsall wide man Chris Hanna, who is currently at Daventry.
