THIS WEEK 2012/13 No10

25 Years ago, 1987/88

Saturday 3rd October 1987
Birmingham Vase Round 1
Princess End 2 v 0 Coleshill Town
No details of the match appeared in the papers however this may be the reserves as the first team played in the Birmingham Senior Cup later in the season and I don’t think they would have been in both competitions.

Saturday 5th October 1912 No Match Arranged
Coleshill Chronicle Wrote:-
Coleshill Town will play Sutton Town in the 1st Round of the Fazeley Charity Cup on Saturday 12th October on the Parkfield ground. Coleshill have selected a strong team and a capital game should take place. The Committee are anxious to see a good “gate” for this match. The new Committee appointed have had a very rough time this last few weeks.
NB. The Fazeley Charity Cup was a very prodigious event in those days with many local teams entering the competition. It was first played in 1896 and is still competed for to this day.
