Classy Coleshill created a Birmingham Senior Cup upset when three extra time goals proved too much for a powerful Boldmere in this replay. Coleshill took the lead in the first period of extra time when Hughes scored. They settled the game in the second period when Christopher slotted home after a 40yard run then converted a penalty when he was brought down.
Team: Chapman, Saurminski, Cooke, Hurst, Link, Hughes, Mathews, Whipps, Paul, Christopher, Williams. Subs Hall, Hedmans.

Coleshill Town scored their first double of the season at the expense of Walmley. One of their four goals being netted by John Moore who was happy to break his personal duck. The team was weakened by the absence of their two star inside men Radburn and Reynolds but were satisfied to score the "double" over Walmley and thus cover up their first defeat theweek previous. Town shot into the lead after 15minutes through Moore and a minute later went further ahead through Harry Stokes. It was Stokes again who glided on to a through pass to net a third goal with an 18 yard drive. Play in the second half was scrappy with the visitors weakened forward line failing to accept chances. After Newnes had reduced their lead McDonald put the issue safe.
NBPeter Meehan was selected to play for the League Representative side.

The home team was as follows: Goal; Hinton, backs; Neville, Grout; half backs; Freeman, Clare, Clive; Forwards; Nichols, Wright, Harbage, King, Williams.
Coleshill won the toss and kicked down hill first. The opening exchanges were in favour of Coleshill and after a few minutes play Wright seized on the ball following a weak clearance by the visitors right back and scored with a shot which gave the goalkeeper no chance. The visitors forwards then tried hard to get on level terms but the home half backs and backs played remarkably well and the goalkeeper had little to do. A faulty clearance by Grout gave the Amington inside right a rare cahnce to equalise but his shot went at a great pace just outside the upright. Coleshill then attacked smartly and Nichols scored the second goal. The homesters continued to dominate the play and Wright and Harbage scored before half time, which came with the substantial lead of four goals.
On the resumption Amington had considerably more of the play. Both teams tried hard but after about 20minutes play Amington scored their first goal and this was followed a few minutes after by a second. Coleshill then improved and the forwards combining well together gave the visitors defence plenty to do. About 10 minutes before time Wright scored the fifth goal for Coleshill and put the issue safe. Amington were not to be denied and their efforts were rewarded for after weak play by the home defence they scored with the last kick of the match. As soon as the ball was sent into the net the referee blew for time. Coleshill were easily the best team and deserved their win. Amington ought not to have scored three goals. There was more than two goals difference between the play of the two teams.
Just before hal-time, the appearance of Mr Hucke, the airman, in his machine caused considerable interest to the spectators. The aviator circled over the ground two or three times and then flew off to Castle Bromwich, where he was giving an exhibition of flying.
