Ashtree maintained their recent good form with two goals in a minute to keep them firmly in the title race. Coleshill took the lead after 15mins when Edmunds converted a corner by Christopher following a goalmouth scramble. After an early second half onslaught by Coleshill the visitors equalised on 60mins through Day. Within 60 seconds Ashtree were awarded a free kick just outside the Coleshill penalty area and Nicholls found the net.

These teams met on the Parkfield Road ground on Saturday last in keen frosty weather, the ground being very hard. Nichols was absent from the Coleshill team, not having fully recovered from the effects of the match at Wilnecote the previous Saturday. Kettlebrook won the toss and kicked up hill. The ball was very lively and the players on both sides had difficulty in controlling it. The game was remarkably even in the first half. Williams who played a fine game throughout put in a shot which gave the goalkeeper no chance whatever. The referee however gave a free kick on the ground of off-side. The interval arrived with no goals being recorded.
Coleshill pressed heavily on the restart but the visitors backs and goalkeeper played splendidly and Coleshill could not score although their opponents goal often luckily escaped. Eventually the homesters scored through Williams who converted a fine centre by Neville. Coleshill continued to have the best of the game. Cooper, the Kettlebrook keeper, had a warm time and made many capital saves while Hinton at the other end had scarcely anything to do. When time was called Coleshill had won a hard game by one goal to nil.
Team: Goal, Hinton, backs, Neville, Grout; half backs, Freeman, Clare, Clive; forwards, Harbage, Neville, Wright, King, Williams. Referee Mr Hartley, Birmingham.
On Saturday Coleshill visit Amington to play the Rovers in the return League game. On their present form Coleshill should add two points to their total.
