Coleshill boss adds new faces to squad
Writes the Coleshill Herald
COLESHILL Town boss Paul Casey was understandably left frustrated by the weather over Christmas.
But he has used the time to bolster his squad and now believes he has the players in place to take the club forward.
Former defender Luke Edwards has returned to Coleshill from Stratford Town.
And centre-back Jermaine Fletcher has also signed for the club from Bedworth.
Striker Leon Weller has also arrived from Boldmere St Michaels.
Casey said: "It's been a frustrating time with the weather the way it is.
"It's been really depressing to be honest because you are eager to play games.
"I have only had five since I took over because of the weather.
"It's the same for everyone I know. I don't think Gornal, for example, have played since December 8.
"So I have tried to keep busy by developing the squad and I am happy with what I have got in place now.
"I have pretty much brought in a whole new team now and I think these are players who can really make a difference for us.
"I think we have a much better squad now than the one I inherited.
"We have strength in depth in every position and that will be crucial in the coming weeks because the games will come thick and fast now.
"We have 22 games left to play and I would like ten wins from those games.
"That would give us 45 points for the season and would be something to build on next year.
"I believe that we can achieve that target between now and the end of the season and I am excited by what is in store for us."
