Saturday 2nd January 1988
Midland Combination
Coleshill Town 1 v 0 Boldmere St Michaels
Scorer: Derek Christopher pen.
Sunday Mercury Wrote:
Competent Coleshill severely dented the championship hopes of Boldmere St Michaels. A first half penalty by Derek Christopher gave Coleshill the points to add to a Birmingham Senior Cup victory gained against the “Mikes” earlier in the season. Coleshill took the lead after 31 minutes when, following an infringement, Christopher scored from the spot with a well struck drive.
