PAUL Casey watched his Coleshill Town side humbled 5-0 by Tipton Town in the Midland Alliance on Saturday and admitted: "I got it wrong."

The honest Coleshill boss believes his decision to change the formation was among the factors which contributed to his side's defeat.

"I decided to go three at the back and it did not work," Casey said.

"It backfired on me but you have to learn from your mistakes sometimes and that is something that I won't be doing again.

"In fact, I have even give myself a fine for my part in the defeat."

He added: "It was a very disappointing result. It's been a tough time with a lack of games due to the weather.

"We hadn't played for seven weeks and it showed.

"Tipton were hungrier than us. They are a strong and direct side and wanted it more.

"Several of our players went into hiding if I am honest. A few of the lads had maybe had a bit too much Christmas pudding as well."

He added: "It was a funny game because for 43 minutes we were in the game. Then we gave away a sloppy goal and conceded another straight away.

"We were always chasing then and never looked like getting back into it. It was a bad day at the office but we have to put it behind us immediately and move on."
