COLESHILL CRACKER
Coleshill turned in a five star performance to record their first league victory of the season under new player-manager Ronnie Mason. Their goal spree started in the 20th minute when a centre by Neil Brady was neatly slotted home by Tony Gormley from six yards. Shirley almost equalised 10 mins later when mark cartwright picked up a ball in midfield and fired a powerful swirling drive from 20 yards which struck the Coleshill bar with keeper Mazia Manir beaten. Coleshill went further in front after 41mins when Bob Jenkins burst through the centre of the Shirley defence and his goal bound shot was helped over the line by Gormley. Herman Wilson added Coleshill's third goal in the 68th minute when, following good work by Gormley, he hooked the ball over the keeper from eight yards. Eight minutes later, substitute John Hall scored with his first kick when he converted a Jenkins right wing cross. Coleshill went nap in the last minute when Wilson easily converted a Gormley cross.

1963/64
Saturday 31st August 1963
Birmingham Youths’ And Old Boys’ A.F.A. Mercian League.
Coleshill Town 5 v 2 Olton
Scorers: Jimmy Hillies 4, Arthur Mullard.
Coleshill Chronicle Wrote:
Long time Coleshill secretary Bernie Knight was a worried man on the eve of the new season as many players from last season had moved on. Harry Stokes, Ronnie Houghton and Peter Meehan had all decided to hang up their boots and Jeff Statham and Martin Curtis moved to Coleshill Hall. Knight needn’t have worried as Man of the match Jimmy Hillies scored four times with Mullard competing the scoring. Billy Holmes, Colin Reynolds, Dennis Collins Graham Letts and keeper Gary Cooper all had good games.

Fixture Tuesday 2nd September home to Coleshill Hall. This must be Coleshill Hall’s reserves as they had moved to the Midland Combination this season.

1913/14
Coleshill didn’t start their season until next week, 6th September at Home to Lyons Athletic. Last season they were in the Trent Valley League but the committee decided to return to the Birmingham Youth and Old Boys Football League and were put in the Suburban Division (Div 2).
Coleshill started as Coleshill & District Football Club back in 1885, the District was dropped a few years later so they were known as Coleshill Football Club for many years, but this year, 1913, “Town” was added and the name Coleshill Town Football Club has remained the same since.
Reverand F.W.Digby bowled for Coleshill Cricket Club taking 6 wickets for 5 runs.
