COLESHILL BOOST
Lowly Coleshill Town returned to winning ways to relieve their relegation fears. Coleshill took the lead in the first minute when Tony Gormley crossed to Paul Mulholland, who netted from seven yards. Coleshill increased their lead after 15 minutes when Karl Melvin latched on to a through ball from Neil Brady to score from 15 yards. Bolehall were awarded a penalty after 30 minutes when Brady handled in the box but Nazia Manir made a fine diving save from Billy Oughton. Just before the break Mulholland scored Coleshill’s third when he chipped the goalkeeper from the edge of the area. Bolehall reduced the deficit after 75 minutes when Tony McKee raced through to score from 15 yards and six minutes from time Nigel Duggins scored from a penalty.

A BLACK DAY FOR LOCAL FOOTBALL
November 23rd will be a date long remembered by local soccer supporters –for two serious accidents marred the week-end sports scene. Two of our local footballers are now in hospital with broken legs: they are 17 year old Brian Baggott of Curdworth Colts and Coleshill Town’s 24 year old forward Norman Crandles. Crandles injury that must keep him out of football for the rest of the season is a sad blow for the Town who are going through a thin period. Coleshill were showing encouraging form against Hurley United and their 4-2 victory was marred by Crandles accident just four minutes from time. Next round Coleshill are away to favourites Stockingford Allotments.
