'Let's make history'.
"Let's make history" said Coleshill manager Paul Casey as his rallying call to his players ahead of their FA Vase 3rd Round tie at Holwell Sports on Saturday (7th December) and that's just what his team did. Coleshill beat Holwell 3-1 with second half goals coming from Matt Brown twice and Danny Tymon to put them into the 4th round, the last 32, for the first time in the club's history. Previously the furthest Town have progressed in the competition was the 3rd round in 2007 but on that occasion they lost to Lincolnshire side Blackstones 2-1 at Pack Meadow.
The draw for the 4th round takes place at FA Headquarters Monday at 12.00 but whereas in the previous rounds the draw has been regionally based, this round goes national, so Coleshill could be drawn against anyone at Level 5 anywhere in the country. Exciting times!
