Midland Football Alliance: Coleshill Town vs. Shepshed Dynamo

Date: Tuesday 25th March 2014 KO: 19:45PM

Venue: Pack Meadow

Sport Relief weekend saw Coleshill Town extend their incredible winning streak to 7 games as the expense of a competitive Walsall Wood side as they rode the waves of the home side at Oak Park. They ended up winning the game 1-0 courtesy of Matt Brown’s 19th goal of the campaign. This saw Paul Casey’s troops remain on target for promotion at the end of the season as they provide one final push for their loyal supporters with just 2 points separating Highgate United in 3rd to the Colemen in 5th.

Their mid-week opponents come in the form of Leicestershire based outfit Shepshed Dynamo, a side they defeated back in October 4-1 at The Dovecote. Jim Wynne’s side currently sit 15th in the MFA after losing 5-4 at home to a Westfields at the weekend. This was Dynamo’s fourth defeat in a row and with no wins in their last 5, their quest for points doesn’t get much easier with a trip to Pack Meadow.

Pack Meadow is a stadium Coleshill Town have only lost at twice this season in the league. Casey has developed an excellent home record with his side this season transforming the Colemen from mid table mediocrity to league title contenders. Whilst impressing and turning heads lately with their 7 game winning streak, Coleshill have also been extremely efficient at the back conceding just 33 goals all season. Paul Hathaway achieved his third clean sheet in a row at the weekend and Coleshill possess the second best defensive record in the division. Dynamo aren’t exactly great away from home collecting just 15 points on the road all season.

Declan Kirby remains out for the home side with a fractured fibula and dislocated ankle.

MATTY ADAMS SAYS: Coleshill Town 3-0 Shepshed Dynamo
