An injury time equaliser from Steven Bradshaw extended Hinckley’s unbeaten run to eight matches, as Coleshill gained another important point in their battle against relegation. Coleshill took the lead after 34 minutes when Cotton was on hand to take advantage of a Wilson flick on following a right wing corner and, just before the break, Yeomans, in the Coleshill goal, tipped over a long range shot by Moore. Hinckley almost equalised after 71 minutes when a shot from Weston was cleared off the line by Moore, but three minutes later Coleshill’s Cash hit the post with a header. Hinckley’s goal came after a breakaway as Bradshaw shot home from the edge of the area.

These teams met at Coleshill on Easter Monday afternoon, before a large gate. Coleshill won the toss and kicked up hill with a strong wind and the sun at their backs. Coleshill had the best of the play from the start but although the forwards had several fine opportunities of scoring, it was not until twenty minutes had elapsed that they opened the score through Dyke. The same player added another goal a few minutes later. Just before half time Kingsbury scored from a scrimmage, following a corner kick. A misunderstanding between Nichols and Franklin gave Ebery a chance a yard or two from the posts. Half Time score: Coleshill Town 2, Kingsbury Colliery 1.
In the second half Kingsbury had the best of matters in midfield but failed in failed in front of goal, Nichols doing much useful work in defence. Bullock was unfortunate with a magnificent shot which beat the Kingsbury goalkeeper but hit the cross-bar and went out. About ten minutes from time Ebery equalised, although there were strong protests for handling, which were ignored by the referee. Two minutes from time Jones scored the winning goal for Kingsbury, who ran out victors of a good game by 3 goals to 2.
Coleshill Town Team: Franklin Goal, Nichols and Cartwright Backs, Smith, Clare and Clive Half Backs, Pardoe, Rudge, Dyke, Greaves and Bullock Forwards.
Mrs G.E.Pridmore presented the cup to Ebery, captain of the Colliery team.
