THIS WEEK 2013/14 -25, 50 and 100 YEARS AGO WEEK 37
Saturday 19th April

1988/89
Saturday 22nd April 1989
Boldmere St Michaels 1 v 0 Coleshill Town

Sunday Mercury Wrote:
Boldmere Go Clear
Boldmere grabbed two points to go clear at the top of the league. Smith and Crutchley went close to giving Boldmere the lead and Coleshill responded with Wilson firing wide. Then Boldmere’s Tycer rescued the home side, clearing off the line after Rhodes had hit a shot from 15 yards. With second half chances few, Coleshill went close in the 76th minute, Gormley put the ball to Brady whose shot was palmed away by Beech and Brady again hit the clearance just over the bar. Two minutes later Boldmere took the lead from Holloway’s corner, Davies knocked the ball to Lilley who hit a shot from six yards through the packed defence.
