Casey hails Bromsgrove as they give Coleshill real scare

Writes the Coleshill Herald

Coleshill Town boss Paul Casey said: "It was a terrific advert for the FA Cup and the Midland Football League and both sides were given a standing ovation at the end.

"Full credit to Bromsgrove, they are an outstanding team. To take us all the way in two games, plus extra time, is a massive credit to them.

"If I am honest, on reflection, I felt that we deserved the win in the end as we were the side really driving for the result.

"But, at the same time, there would have been no sour grapes from me had Bromsgrove won the tie.

"They deserve massive credit for the way they approached the two matches and conducted themselves during the ties."

Coleshill Town Reserves enjoyed a winning start to life in Midland Reserve League one as they beat last year's champions Loughborough 2-0.

Newly-promoted Town took the lead from a Reece Lynch free-kick in the first half.

They doubled their lead when James Williams headed in from a corner in the second half.

Coleshill reserves are playing their home games at New Mill Lane this season.
