COLESHILL Town aim to cause an FA Cup upset as they host Evo-Stik League Northern Premier side Barwell on Saturday.

Paul Casey's men have enjoyed a fine start to the Midland Football League Premier Division campaign and currently lie second.

Barwell are two divisions higher but have only won two of their opening eight fixtures this season.

However, Barwell go into the clash in good sprits after securing a 2-0 league victory over high-flying Stamford on Tuesday night, courtesy of two goals from Jon Stevenson.

"We had them watched and they are a very good, well-organised side," said Coleshill chairman Paul Billing. "On paper, of course, they will be expected to win the game.

"They have a good young side there and a manager, Jimmy Ginnelly, who has a fantastic managerial record in non-league football.

"I don't know him personally but he well known to be a larger than life character and I am sure he will have his side up for the clash.

"But, who knows what can happen?

"It's the FA Cup and shocks have happened many times in this competition.

"We were nearly upset in the last round when Bromsgrove pushed us all the way to extra time in the replay.

"So, if we play to our maximum potential, and Barwell drop their standards a little bit, then we could just pull it off.

"But the main thing for us is that we enjoy the day really. We are all excited about it.

"As a club, we have gone through two rounds, beating teams below us and realistically that's all you can expect.

"If we can go further that would be fantastic but we just need to make the most of the experience."
