FA Vase History In The Making

Tomorrow (December 12th) Coleshill travel to Uttoxeter in the 3rd Round of the FA Vase and a win would then equal the best ever run in the National competition.

Town have reached the 3rd Round three times in their history! The first time was in the 2007/08 season when, after beating Bolehall Swifts, Leek CSOB and Barwell they finally went out to Blackstones from Stamford, Lincolnshire to a last minute, disputed, penalty. This was the season that Manager Carl Adams led Town to the Midland Combination Premier Championship winning the last ten games of the season and pipped Highgate to the title on goal difference!

In 2013/14 the Colemen went one better by beating Malvern Town, Nuneaton Griff, Racing Club Warwick, Long Eaton United and Holwell Sports to reach the last 32 for the first and only time! Unfortunately they then suffered defeat, After Extra Time, to one of the cup favourites, Dunston UTS from Gateshead.

Carl Adams started this new successful era for Coleshill Town but since Paul Casey took over in November 2012, it's been an amazing upward spiral! Long may it continue!

Is this Coleshill's year! We'll soon find out!!!!
