James Dance at Kettering

Coleshill born James Dance is now plying his trade at Kettering after over 150 games and 44 goals for his home town club.

James left Town at the same time as manager Neil Kitching to join up at Rushall Olympic. It didn't take long before Redditch came calling followed swiftly by Kettering who have offered him a contract for full time football. James played towards the end of last season and there were rumours that several league clubs were watching him. The Blue Square Premier (Conference) kicked off last saturday with Kettering away to Gateshead and James was in the starting line up in a hard fought goalless draw.

The Non-League Paper said "Deasy (Gateshead keeper) had to save well from James Dance. Dance was put in by Paul Furlong after the break only to screw his shot wide." James played the full 90mins and was awarded a 7 out of ten by the paper.

We will keep an eye on James over the course of the season and wish him all the best. Should he achieve his dream of playing in the football league he will be the first Coleshill born player since Tim Rawlings, ex West Bromwich, Walsall, Port Vale 1960-65.
