WE MEET AGAIN - Heather St John

Coleshill travel to Heather St John this saturday in the Preliminary Round of the FA Cup, following Coleshill's replay win over Brocton and Heather's replay win over Pegasus Juniors. Johns were held to a 1-1 draw at Pegasus, Danny Quinn getting a last minute equaliser but won convincingly 5-1 at home with Ashley Spencer getting a hat trick. Heather are currently top of the Midland Combination Premier league with two wins from two games, a 6-1 home win over Pelsall Villa and a 2-0 away success over Cadbury Athletic, Danny Quinn getting both the goals.

The Saints were formed in 1949 and moved to their current home St Johns Park, in 1993. Coleshill have only visited the ground once before but you can't help but be impressed with the set up there. Heather have hosted several Mid Com Finals and representative games due to their excellent facilities. Heather moved to the Mid Com in 2003 after previously playing in the Leicester and District league and gained promotion to the Premier league for the start of the 2007/08 season. The have improved year on year and only just missed out on the title last season to Heath Hayes. However, as a consolation, they did win the Challenge Cup beating Coventry Copsewood 4-0. They will be hoping that this is their year to win the championship.

Heather joined the Premier the year Coleshill decided, after 33 years of trying, it was their turn to win the league. Therefore Town have only met their opponents twice before, in 2007/08.
