CARTER ON TRIAL

UNSTOPPABLE CARTER EARNS CHANCE TO IMPRESS BURTON

Writes Matt Panter, Sports Editor, Coleshill Herald.

Coleshill star Danny Carter's goalscoring exploits have earned him a trial at League Two side Burton Albion. Carter bagged a treble in Coleshill's shock 3-1 FA Cup win at Evesham on Saturday and he followed it up with a second treble in the 3-0 Midland Alliance win at Friar Lane on Tuesday night. Coleshill boss Carl Adams said: "Paul Peschisolido is a friend of mine and he is going to have a look at Danny during a trial next week. We don't want to lose Danny but I would never stand in a player's way and it's good for Coleshill if we have a player who progresses to a higher standard - it shows we can spot a talent. We had a similar thing with James Dance, who is doing well in the Conference with Kettering. We will see what develops if Danny impresses on trial."

N.B. Two other players who have moved into a higher standard recently after playing for Coleshill are Stuart Hendrie who is with League Two team Morecambe and Joe Clarke who is with Conference side Darlington.
