Saturday 21st December 1985
Skol Midland Combination Premier
Southam United 3-3 Coleshill Town

Scorers: Steve Howkins 2, Steve George.

Unlucky Southam staged a storming second half recovery but paid the price of missed chances in sharing a 6 goal thriller with Coleshill Town. Coleshill made the most of the fierce wind to lead 2-0 at the break. George headed home a Howkins corner in the 11th min to open the scoring and Howkins capitalised on a defensive error to race from the halfway line and add the second in the 25th min, but Southam responded in stunning style after the interval. Bennett pulled a goal back in the 53rd min before 2 in 4 gave them the lead. A shot from Draper went in off Simpson to level the scores in the 69th min and Bennett then rose to head home a Simpson cross. But they also contrived to miss several other chances and Howkins salvaged a point for Coleshill when he scored direct from a free kick on the left with 12mins left.

Saturday 17th December 1960
Birmingham Youth & Old Boys Mercian League
Wilnecote 4 v 3 Coleshill Town

No record of scorers.

Wilnecote began in fine style taking advantage of Coleshill's hesistancy in defence to score three quick goals through Stanford (2) and Allum. Coleshill came more into the game towards the interval and reduced Wilnecote's lead. Wilnecote's defence was at full stretch for long intervals during the second half and Coleshill again reduced the arrears. A 4th goal was scored by Edwards for Wilnecote but Coleshill again struck back, scoring a third goal just before the final whistle.

League Record So Far
P13 W4 D0 L5 Not confirmed, 4 results missing altogether.
Results are vague but Coleshill definately lost three of the first five league games but have picked up and I think have won four.

Coleshill either had no fixture the next week (Xmas Eve) or the game was postponed, not sure which!

Saturday 17th December 1910
Birmingham Youth & Old Boys Senior Division
Aston Manor (United) 3 v 0 v Coleshill Town

These teams met at Aston on Saturday last in miserable weather and on a sodden ground. The Official Referee failed to turn up and this undoubtedly spoilt the match.
The two Captains tossed for who should pick a referee and Clare winning asked Mr A. Linforth to take charge of the game. After 10mins play however, he declined to go on in view of certain remarks directed at him and then Aston provided a referee and Coleshill scored what appeared to their supporters to be a capital goal but he dissallowed it. Just before the interval Aston scored their first point. In the second half Aston added two more and so won a wretched game in every sense of the word, by 3 goals to 0.
There is the probability of this match being re-played.
Chrismas Fixtures: Today (24th) Wilnecote Vics Away Fazeley Cup, Boxing Day Lichfield Phoenix Away Tamworth Nursery Cup, Tues (27th) morning Aston United Home League, Tues afternoon Yardley United Home League.
