SUNDAY MERCURY WROTE
A Jason Phillips hat trick gave Coleshill Town victory at home to Knowle. He struck first on the half hour and made it 2-0 2mins before the break when he latched onto a Alan Kilfoyle pass. Phillips completed his hat trick from the penalty spot after Russell Martin had tripped Eamon Murphy in the box.

SOLIHULL TIMES WROTE
SKIP SLAMS PLAYERS AS KNOWLE CRASH
Knowle manager Martin Skip labelled his players as desperate after the Hampton Road side slumped to their worst showing of the season following a 3-0 hiding at Coleshill Town. "We were lucky to get away with 3-0", admitted Skip who added "We got what we deserved". Skip hit problems before kick off when Martin Bishop, Joey Coyle and Keith Tranter all went down with flu, but Skip declared "I can't offer excuses - we were destroyed". Knowle fell foul of a Jason Phillips hat trick who together with strike partner Johnson, caused Skip's side untold problems.

SUNDAY MERCURY WROTE
Jones slammed home a goal in the 4th min after Smith had run round the Coleshill left back and pulled back an inch perfect pass right to the feet of Jones. Coleshill equalised in the 12th minute when Howkins, after clever play on the wing, found the unmarked Williams who scored with ease. Pedley hit a spot kick wide of the post in the 70th min but George made no mistake when Coleshill were awarded a penalty in the 83rd min, though keeper Johnson did get both hands to the ball. Northfield equalised with a goal in injusy time, Beardshaw beat two men on the right and crossed to Smith who headed the ball into the corner of the net.

1910/11

Saturday 7th January 1911
Coleshill Town v Yardley

Postponed, Yardley missed the train.

COLESHILL CHRONICLE WROTE
COLESHILL F.C'S DISAPPOINTMENTS
Coleshill seems destined to disappoinments. On saturday last Yardley were to visit Coleshill in a league engagement but just as everything was in readiness for the match to begin, a wire was recieved that Yardley had missed their train. Everybody was looking forward to the game, and spectators had arrived from the surrounding districts. It is also a serious thing to Coleshill F.C financially. This is the third time we have been disappointed in the space of a few weeks, and I think the Youths and Old Boys Association should make examples of teams which fail to turn up. This is the second time this season that Yardley have cried off. The Association certainly awarded Coleshill 3s, 6d. towards their expenses but what consolation is this? I contend that teams who fail to fulfil their engagements - at any rate without giving seven days notice - should be penalised in some satisfactory way.
Today, 14th Jan we are looking forward to what should be the "tit-bit" of the season, for Kettlebrook Oakfield are due at Coleshill in the third round of the Coleshill Cup. Who will represent the "Rabbits" is not quite certain at the time of writing. Clive unfortunately will not be well enough to don the colours just yet but I am pleased to say he is getting on fairly well. Just at the present time the Coleshill team is practically disorganised, and it is no easy matter for the Committee to choose a side.
Comparing the present season with this time last year, we are perhaps quite well off, both as regards the League and cups. We are about in the middle of the league table, while we are still in the running for four cups, and have reached the semi-final of two.
"FORWARD"

"I HEAR"
That the Coleshill Football Club had another disappoinment on Saturday last.
That Yardley wired the match off a few minutes before kick off should have been.
That it caused great disappoinment both to players and spectators.
That this is the second time Yardley have failed Coleshill this season.
That the Association should fine such teams heavily, and then there would be fewer disappoinments.
That today Coleshill play Kettlebrook Oakfield in the third round of the Coleshill Charity Cup, at Coleshill.
That the kick off is fixed for 2.30 prompt.
That a close and interesting game can be looked forward to with confidence.
That Kettlebrook have an old score to wipe out, so they can be expected to "go all the way".
That the "Oaks" have accomplished some smart performances this season.
That so did the "Rabbits" in the early part of the season.
That Coleshill will put a good team on the field.
That Teddy Clive and Sullivan will both be absentees.
That it is pleasing to know Clive is progressing favourably and is hoping to don the colours shortly.
