COLESHILL HERALD WROTE
A week is a long time in football as this mauling proved. Just seven days previous Coleshill had inflicted a 3-2 defeat on their hosts in the Midland Alliance, but the tables were turned and how on Saturday as Stratford dished out a 6-0 thumping.
There were four changes to the Coleshill team including in goal where ex-Stratford keeper Craig Johnson was suspended and replaced by Chris Butler, who found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time as he had no chance with any of the goals and indeed produced a number of courageous saves as Stratford fairly peppered his goal in the closing stages.
Coleshill struggled to make an impact as Stratford dominated possession with most of their attacks being concentrated down the right flank. Coleshill attempted to respond and Neil Kitching was not far away with a header from a Dan Carter free kick, but it was basically all Stratford and they went two up in the 27th with a memorable finish from the talismatic Jozsef Jakab. Another Lenton free kick was blocked but Lenton collected the rebound and slipped the ball inside to Jakab who, although facing the wrong way, completely decieved Butler with an audacious back heel into the net.
Then with the half drawing to a close, Stratford suddenly wobbled as Coleshill had what was to be their best spell of the match. The pacy James Dance was first to threaten by racing past Michael Crawford, just as he did many times last week, but his deep cross was fortunately just out of Matty Robinson's reach, and then right on half time Stratford had a real lett off when Robinson shot from a Carter free kick, hit the underside of the bar before being scrambled clear.
Half Time Stratford 2 Town Coleshill Town 0.
The referee may have been fairly generous in awarding a penalty, a yellow card for the keeper, which Jakab took himself and was saved by Butler low to his left, but bizarrely, in a virtual action replay of last week, the referee ordered the kick to be retaken as the keeper had moved too early and this time it was Foy's turn to have his kick beaten out by Butler going to his right only for Byrne to react quickest and fire home the rebound. Things went from bad to worse for Coleshill as Dance was sent off and Stratford added three goals in the last nine minutes through Brookes, Blair and Gasper.

COLESHILL GAZETTE WROTE
Coleshill just couldn't maintain the momentum after two really hard games and bowed out of the FA Vase in dismal fashion. A couple of key players were missing but this was little excuse as few players came away with any credit.
