COLESHILL HERALD WROTE
A Day Of Many Plusses For The Colemen
Coleshill jumped one one place in the league table to break into the top 10, completed their first double of the season, scored their 50th league goal and Matty Robinson went top of the Golden Boot table in a good afternoon for the Colemen.

All the goals came in the second half, probaly due to Neil Kitching's half time comment that the game had 0-0 written all over it. Coleshill's only change from the win over Cradley was Damien Charie taking over from Ben Porter as a precaution due to tight hamstrings. New signing, former Irish Under 21 international Gordon Simms had to be content with a place on the bench but will have to wait for another day to make his debut.

The first half was even with little action at either end. Matty Robinson had a shot that sailed over the bar and landed in the River Dove and Lee Bloxham sent a 20 yard effort on a similar course.

On 55 minutes Robinson was pulled down in the box and got up to take the spot kick himself and score his 17th league goal of the season. Just five minutes later Richard Munday increased the lead with a far post header from a corner. Munday scoring in consequetive games gave Coleshill their 50th goal of the season. Rocester were far from outclassed and hit back on 65 minutes through Karl Charlton. Robinson put himself at the top of the league's scoring chart with his second on 80 minutes before the goal of the game on 87 minutes, a 25 yard screamer from 16 year old substitute Matt Redshaw. The referee then decided to play 7 minutes extra time but Coleshill held on for a deserved win.

Team:- Craig Johnson, Tom Brady, Richard Munday, Dave Davies, Lee Darlison, Stuart Hendrie, Simon Volante, Jae Martin, Lee Bloxham, Matty Robinson, Damien Charie. Subs James Dance, Gordon Simms, Jamie Silver.

SUNDAY MERCURY WROTE

He scored nine minutes into the second half from the penalty spot and notched his second on the break 13minutes from time.
