Report by Paula Scott

Coleshill started at a fast pace looking to punish Goodrich from the start and progress through to the next round of the FA Vase.

Early shots from Luke Willaims, Tez Carpenter and Courtney Shaw left Goodrich bewildered but none of the shots could find there way over the goal line.

Marvin Johnson making his debut for Coleshill was a consatnt threat on goal causing the Goodrich keeper to be busy.

Coleshill dominated the game for the first 15 mins with goal keeper Craig Johnson not even touching the ball - so it was with great surprise to the team when Goodrich broke and slotted a goal to take the lead.

Coleshill responded like a wounded animal and produced shot after shot on goal but none could break through to gain the equaliser until Courtney Shaw decided enough was enough and after some quick play he made sure Coleshill left the field at half time equal - which was nothing more than they deserved.

Second half began the again at a fast pace and within 2 mins of restarting Marvin Johnson crossed the ball for Luke Williams to finish an excellent goal.

Carl Adams controlled the midfield wisely. His impressive personal performance encouraged the players around him to search for a third goal.

Coleshill continued to press again with plenty ofpasses to the forward line who just shot wide or over the cross bar.

Adam Kinder was introduced into the game with 10mins remaining and was influentual from the start just missing two early chances after a matter of minutes.

Kinder eventually got the goal he deserved to give Coleshill the third goal and the victory.

Carl Adams after the game was pleased with his players performance and now feels the balance of the team is now starting to settle - He was quick to point out though that we still need consistancy from the players moving forward to the next game against Biddulph Victoria.

A sweet victory today though over Goodrich see's Coleshill progress into the next round of the FA Vase.
