Report by Paula Scott

After a fair travelling distance Coleshill arrived at Bridnorth raedy for action and in search of a further good performance and three points.

The pitch was very heavy going after terrible rain and gale force winds the day before which prevented Coleshill getting into their stride and playing their normal passing game.

Bridnorth constantly played high ball passes hoping to braek through the defence but Coleshill stood firm.

Liam Givans and Andy Cameron were very impressive in midfield along with Ben Porter who made his mark on the game to set up Coleshill's first goal after winning the ball on the half way line and then finding the feet of Matty Robinson who placed a perfect ball across the front of the goal mouth which left the Bridnorth keeper in no man's land and Chris Gumery slotted the ball firmly in the back of the net.

Bridgnorth attacked straight after the Coleshill goal with their striker just beating Craig Johnson in the Coleshill goal mouth.

Coleshill were not to be beaten and pushed for their second goal, Marvin Johnson was through on goal when a Bridgnorth defender deliberately upended Johnson and the Referee had no choice but to dismiss the player immediately.

Play continued and it was Marvin Johnson who gained the second goal for Coleshill just before half time after some excellent solo runs down the wing.

During the second half Bridgnorth worked hard even though they only had 10 men which made it difficult for Coleshill to gain the extra goals they were looking for.

Bridgnorth faced further agony when one of their players stamped on keeper Craig Johnson after both players had challenged for the ball.

The Referee quickly reached for the red card again and left Bridgnorth down to nine men for the remaining 10mins of the game. Coleshill made serveral substitutions, introducing the striking power of Jem Mills and Jon Powis, both players had several chances before the end of the game but both failed to complete their chances.

Coleshill were pleased with the three points and although the score line should have been higher, a win is a win after all said and done.

Scorers; Bridgnorth: Zak Jackson 19.
Coleshill: Chris Gumery 13, Marvin Johnson 35.

Attendance 54
