COLESHILL HERALD WROTE
Carter finds his goal touch as Town secure vital double
COLESHILL came from behind to record a crucial win at local rivals Heather St Johns on Saturday afternoon

Heather took the lead when the ball fell to Kelvin Phillips and his first-time shot from outside the box left goalkeeper Chris Jay with no chance.

Coleshill levelled when Sam Wilson's effort came back off the underside of the bar and was bundled over the line by a back-tracking Heather defender.

The away side then managed to get themselves in front when Danny Carter scored from the penalty spot after Chris Lloyd was bought down in the box by Paul Reddish.

Heather rallied as they searched for an equaliser but couldn't create a clear chance and Coleshill gratefully claimed the three points to ease their drop fears.

COLESHILL PROGRAMME NOTES SAID
This was a make or break game for Coleshill and only three points would help their cause. Heather started the brighter with Coleshill looking very nervous. There were few chances early on with the best chance falling to heather's Dave Yonwin who put his shot wide of the upright, Heather did take the lead when the ball fell to Kelvin Phillips who's first time shot from outside the penalty area gave Chris Jay no chance in the Coleshill goal.

Coleshill did equalise when Sam Wilson burst through the Heather defence before shooting over the stranded Tom Cross in the Heather goal, the shot bounced downward off the crossbar and looked to have crossed the line but the ball was bundled over the line by the Heather defender trying to retrieve the ball.

The second half saw Coleshill dominate for a large part of the half and got their just deserves when Paul Reddish was adjudged to have fouled Chris Lloyd and the referee pointed instantly to the penalty spot. Danny Carter calmly placed the spot kick wide of Cross to make it two one to Coleshill.

Heather did rally for the last 15 minutes and Coleshill lived on their nerves but fortunately Heather failed to craete a clear chance and Coleshill gratefully accepted the three points.
